I didn’t just stumble upon flower farming—I grew up with my hands in the soil, surrounded by the rhythm of farm life. Now, I call the countryside just outside Bruno, Saskatchewan, home. My connection to the land runs deep; as a farmgirl and a Métis woman, I’ve always felt a pull to nature, where every season carries its own beauty and lessons. This land calls to me—it’s in my roots, my history, and my heart. While I’m still learning what my Métis heritage means to me, I feel it in the way I move through the world, in the plants I tend, and in my growing desire to understand the traditions of those who came before me.
But my story doesn’t end with growing things—it begins with sharing them. My flower farm, Wild Willow Acres, is more than a business—it’s a place where creativity blooms, friendships grow, and beauty is celebrated. It’s a space where I can explore and honor my heritage, while also inviting others to connect with the land in their own way.
Driven by my love for nature and a commitment to local, sustainable flowers, I started Wild Willow Acres to share a little of that natural magic with others. My vision is simple: to create meaningful moments through flowers. Each bouquet I design is a thoughtful blend of seasonal blooms, reflecting both my deep connection to the land and the people who bring these flowers into their lives. With every flower I grow and every bouquet I arrange, I think about how it might bring joy to someone’s day—a little spark of happiness, a reminder to pause and appreciate life’s beauty. That desire to connect is at the heart of everything I do.
Beyond the beauty of the flowers themselves, Wild Willow Acres is built on values that matter to me: connection, creativity, and nature. When I craft each bouquet, I imagine how it will brighten someone’s space and lift their spirits. The stories my customers share inspire me deeply, reminding me how powerful flowers can be as a source of joy and comfort. It’s a shared appreciation, a bridge between my farm and the lives of those I serve.
Wild Willow Acres offers more than flowers—it offers an experience, a way to bring the magic of nature into everyday life. Whether it’s fresh summer blooms, vibrant fall arrangements, or carefully dried bouquets that carry beauty into the winter months, each bouquet is made with a sense of whimsy and a touch of heart. My goal is to help people see the wonder in nature, even if just for a brief moment.
For me, flower farming is a journey of creativity and connection—a way to share my love of the land and celebrate the beauty that comes from it. But it’s also a journey of discovery, a way for me to explore my Métis roots and deepen my understanding of the relationship between plants, people, and tradition. Wild Willow Acres isn’t just a flower farm; it’s a space where stories are shared, friendships are built, and beauty is always in season. Through my flowers, I invite others to slow down, connect, and find a little magic in the everyday—just as I continue to find it in my own unfolding story.
